About

DaveA bike life is a blog about you guessed it — a bike life. My name is Dave and I live in Iowa.  I started biking seriously in about 7th grade, now that I am 50-something that is indeed a lifetime of cycling. I wish I could say that I have been on the bike constantly all those years but life sometimes got in the way. Along the way I have had multiple careers, married my high school sweetheart and we have eight children. However, I always seem to come back to my first love, the bike.

My current rides are a mid ’90s Specialized StumpJumper, a Redline 925 fixed gear and a restored and highly personalized Bridgestone RB-1. The image at the top of this page is the drivetrain of my RB-1.

This blog is about life and the bike, enjoy.

Dave, you need to update your blog! I’m sure it’s very motivational to other cyclists, and keeping it updated will probably motivate yourself too. Are you interested in swapping links? Industryoutsider.com is a cycling/outdoors website, and I think your site might be a good fit with our active lifestyle readers. Oh, for what it’s worth, I’ve been hanging around Bikeforums.net since 2004, and was the admin for a few years, until I got fed up with the new owners.

    Cheers,

    Brian
